Anton & The Alley Cats

Anton & The Alley CatsAnton and the Alley Cats is very versatile band playing a mixture of oldies, classic country, rockabilly and Czech polkas and waltzes. Steven Anton Raby, leader of the band, comes from a long line of musical genres. Learning the accordion at the age of nine, he grew up playing the Czech polkas and waltzes of his ancestors. As time progressed, he also mastered the piano, guitar, mandolin, saxophone, and bass guitar. For several years he was lead vocalist and pianist for the legendary Johnny Dee & the Rocket 88's band, in which he demonstrated his vocal and piano abilities by emulating such artists as Roy Orbison and Jerry Lee Lewis. A traditionalist when it comes to country music, Raby's repertoire is influenced by the so called "Nashville Sound" of the late '50's early '60's, when the music city was flooding the airwaves with acts such as Faron Young, Conway Twitty and Marty Robbins. Anton and the Alley Cats is a fun band who has something for all ages.
